Maintenance schedule
Tap any task to open its step-by-step guide. Each one tells you what to do, why it matters, and the tip we wish we'd known.
Every week
Clean the build plate
A clean build plate is the foundation of every great print. Fingerprints and dust cause first-layer failures.
Wipe the nozzle & check the sock
Remove hardened plastic and carbon buildup from the nozzle and silicone sock before it ruins your next print.
Empty the purge chute
Empty the rear purge chute weekly. Overflowing waste blocks the nozzle during purging and wastes filament mid-print.
Every month
Lubricate the X / Y rods
A quick monthly lube of the X and Y rods keeps the toolhead gliding smoothly and prevents premature bearing wear.
Check the belt tension
Loose belts cause ghosting and ringing in prints. Check tension monthly and adjust only if they feel obviously slack.
Clean the LiDAR & nozzle camera
Gently clean the LiDAR and camera lenses under the toolhead. Clear optics mean reliable first-layer scanning and AI detection.
Re-lubricate the carbon rods & lead screw
Deep lubrication of carbon rods and the lead screw removes gritty buildup and keeps the P2S running whisper-quiet for months.
Every quarter
Clean the extruder gear
Filament dust compacts in the extruder gear teeth and causes under-extrusion. Brush it out before prints start looking patchy.
Swap the hotend or nozzle
Swap a worn or clogged hotend in minutes. The P2S quick-release clip makes nozzle changes far faster than on older printers.
Clean the aux part-cooling fan
Dust-coated part-cooling fan blades kill airflow and ruin overhangs. A quick brush restores crisp bridge and overhang cooling.
